I floated home and slept like I never knew possible.I am now doing the de-stress breathing technique as you suggested first thing in the shower and in the car on the way to work.I am so relaxed and calm. Libby's powerful combination of Pilates and Yoga has provided relief from long term back pain. After trying many kinds of therapies, I've finally found something that works.
If it only eliminated pain that would be enough, but it does much more than that. Physically, it builds amazing muscles exactly where you need them, to stand up straight and live your life. When I was told I need to do yoga I was disappointed as it never appealed to me.In Libbys classes i discovered that yoga is not boring, actually its amazing. Libby mitchell has had involvement with the students at Healesville Primary school, Chum Creek Primary and Healesville High School. Her sense of integrity and her earthy manner were an instant appeal to our students. They quickly felt at ease and engaged with all she introduced to them.

Libby has designed and facilitated human development sessions that have holistic focus on your body, soul and spirit. She has led large groups on a Girls day out program introducing the girls to yoga, body posture, self care, and self awareness. This was conducted in a way that facilitated discussions and allowed the girls to explore what was best for them, not in a manner that imposed or set expectations on them. She was well prepared and researched and as a result of this could answer questions enabling the girls to explore what effects different products had on their bodies.

Libby has also been involved in a program designed to care for students who have had experiences of grief or significant family breakdown. She has worked with a small group of girls to promote self care. Libby reflects to these girls how to live a balanced lifestyle. The uniqueness and effectiveness of libby is educating others is that she lives this lifestyle and so her teaching is not about presenting information but the specialness of connecting with her.

What a great teacher Libby is. Very down to earth, motivating and knows her stuff. I had been previoulsy going to Pilates in the city. In several months I had not made the progress that I have made with Libby in 3 weeks.

I just want to write and tell you how much Yarra Valley Yoga has helped me change so many aspects of my life.
When I started in Jan '07 I felt sore and tired from looking after my 8 and 2 year old children. With my 2 year old not being a great sleeper my back and my health has always been put on the back burner. But since finding your Yoga and Pilates classes I have made time every week and sometimes (when I can sneak out) twice a week. Just having that couple of hours per week committed to myself and opening my eyes to all the benefits of Yoga, has resulted in a huge change and shift in my health, spirit and overall well being.

We first engaged the services of YARRA VALLEY YOGA approximately 8 months ago, as a means of providing our staff with a safe and healthy means of improving their fitness and well-being.

Because we work in a sedentary office environment I thought a program of exercise based around Pilates and Yoga would provide a means of increasing everyone’s core strength, breathing, posture, flexibility and general well-being.

Although we only commenced the program with a 1-week trial, I’m a little surprised to say it has been so successful we are still going with our weekly classes 8 months later.

Libby Mitchell, the principal of YARRA VALLEY YOGA has developed a program of exercises and postures, specifically suitable for each of our staff members.

Her years of expertise combined with her care and compassion means that the class is very well received by all participants, and as a business owner, I feel very confident that my staff are in the very best hands.

Personally, I also attend the program and I couldn’t speak of it more highly. My core strength has improved beyond what I thought was possible and my sense of well-being is at an all-time high.

If you are considering organising a fitness, Pilates or Yoga program for yourself or your staff then I’d definitely speak to Libby at YARRA VALLEY YOGA. I couldn't recommend YARRA VALLEY YOGA more highly.

I have been a student with Libby for about three years, and a long term student of yoga for over thirty years. My classes with Libby are a welcome event every week. I am a sixty year old male and my class is a mixture of young and old, fit and fragile. Libby creates an atmosphere of friendly interaction, empathy, and caring.
The meditation session at the beginning of class is instructive and a peaceful, blissful way to start the class. The exercises are not stressful, and can be as hard or as easy as I wish depending on my condition, encouraged by Libby at every stage, the same level of care and concern is afforded to all class members. I am of course biased toward Yoga as a life style because I believe the philosophy and exercise is truly beneficial for my health and well being, and you could say I am biased toward Libby.
The truth is her classes are structured and well thought out with out being aggressive. libby encourages each student to get along at there own pace ( almost every class has a giggle moment, where someone try's a pose and collapses on the floor ) no one is judgemental, the object is to enjoy the challenge and experience the benefit. Libby is a great teacher and the real deal if you want to have a true Yoga experience then try a class with Libby
